wedding danceDance off?
We know what some of you are thinking, it’s been done. Well, you are half right there, but what hasn’t been done is YOUR wedding dance! The dance element of a wedding doesn’t just boil down to the bride and groom. Have you considered incorporating other guests? Getting your parents and in laws involved in a dance off? Getting the registrar/vicar to start off something to send you on your way down the aisle? How about asking the children of the wedding party to do a little display after the speeches? Dare we say it….did someone say – A FLASHMOB?!
Who says it has to be a generic dance to a generic wedding dance song? Whether you’re going for the Ed Sheeran songs of the wedding world or want to do a mock up mosh pit – a wedding is the most memorable with the surprises, excitement and crowd participation that everyone talks about years later! Have you considered a mash up of songs that all tell a story about your relationship, or pulling off an amazing piece to an epic love song? – There’s literally ANYTHING we can do, to provide an element of a dance to your wedding.

Wedding dance myths

Myth
You have to be able to dance, I’ve got two left feet!
Truth
This is totally not true. No dance experience is required! We tailor it to your abilities, and there are lots of clever ways to make the most simplest of dances look incredible. Sally is an experienced Dance teacher to all ages and abilities, and you will feel like a pro within the first 5 minutes!

Myth
I don’t want to go all ‘Strictly come Dancing’
Truth
You don’t have to! Well, you can if you like, any style of dance is possible, but a majority of our couples and groups come to us wanting something completely different or an idea where they just want some assistance in putting it together.

Myth
I’ll look silly in front of our guests!
Truth
Not true! After every couple/group I have taught have done their dance – their mates, family, the lot are absolutely buzzing that they’ve seen you perform something completely unexpected! The last thing you’ll look is silly, unless that’s what you’ve asked for!

Myth
Bit of a waste of time/money considering we’ve spent X amount/spent X amount of time planning the wedding!
Truth
PSSST! I’ll let you into a little secret…it’s NOT as expensive as you might think. Plus – let’s be realistic, not everyone has the time either, but this brings us to the nitty gritty…read on:
Wedding Dance
How it works
We have a FREE consultation with whoever is wanting to organise the wedding dance, and we meet to discuss ideas and what you’d like to do!
We put together a schedule, no later than 3 weeks before the wedding – where you will know how many, how much, when and where your dance rehearsals will be. We can do this anywhere, your home, hired space (additional cost) or Sally’s studio space – dependent on your needs and requirement. (travel costs are taken into consideration – to be discussed) We are very flexible on times to suit you!
Single

Block
4x 1 Hour lesson- Total £280

- Additional sessions can be arranged
To keep costs down and time constraints in consideration, we offer alternatives such as:
Recording a choreographed dance for you to learn by yourselves at home (£75 per recording)
(These require 50% deposit, with the following 50% paid half way through the amount of lessons/time up to wedding)
